About this Role

Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School is seeking to appoint a motivated, organised and enthusiastic Sports Technician to join our successful PE department. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual with a passion for sport and physical education to play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching, learning and enrichment opportunities across the school.

Working closely with the Head of PE and teaching staff, you will ensure that sports equipment, resources and facilities are prepared and maintained to a high standard, helping to provide students with an engaging and effective PE experience. The role also includes supporting extracurricular activities, assisting with fixtures, acting as a school lifeguard (training can be provided for the right candidate), and driving the school minibus for sporting events..    As this post will lifeguard our school swimming lessons, you must be able to swim to  lifeguarding standard.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working in a sporting environment.
  • Is highly organised, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Holds a full, valid driving licence.
  • Can swim to lifeguarding standard
  • Can work effectively with both students and staff.
  • Has a strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential through sport and physical activity.

In return, we offer:

  •          Health and Wellbeing Cover including cashback on optical, dental, and therapy treatments
  •          Discounts at popular high-street retailers
  •          Access to wellbeing services, including 24/7 confidential counselling
  •          A generous pension scheme to support your future
  •          Clear pathways for progression, with regular reviews and access to training — whether you’re just starting or already qualified
  •         A welcoming, inclusive environment where your wellbeing comes first

If you're ready to help our students feel safe, happy, and supported each day, we’d love to hear from you.
