About this Role

Heartwood Learning Trust is a strong, inclusive and collaborative multi-academy trust with fourteen academies located within York, Hull and North Yorkshire. Our Trust comprises of six secondary, six primary and two alternative provision academies. We are seeking an exceptional Vice Principal to join our vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing primary school in Nether Poppleton where every child is nurtured, challenged, and celebrated. At Poppleton Ousebank, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive and stimulating environment that supports academic excellence and emotional wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and inspiring leader to take on a significant leadership role working alongside the Principal in an ambitious and forward-thinking school. 

 You will be responsible for developing sustained improvement in Teaching and Learning throughout school, driving improvements in Quality First Teaching, Curriculum and Assessment.

The role will also involve a 2 day per week teaching commitment.

- A skilled communicator, who is well organised and highly motivated

- Someone who is able to demonstrate energy and dynamism who is willing to ‘go that extra mile’ to better the life chances of our children
