About this Role

Contract Type:  Learning Support Assistant – Monday-Friday 8:45am–3:15pm27 hours, 5 minutes per week (term time only) Midday Assistant – Monday-Friday, 2 hours, 10 minutes per week 

Contract Term Fixed Term – Date to be confirmed  Linked to named child 

Deneholm Primary School is an extremely happy and positive school looking to appoint a highly effective, caring, enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This role will also include additional Midday Assistant duties. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • -be experienced in working with children at early stages of their learning development 

  • -be experienced in supporting children with learning difficulties such as Global Development Delay, ASD and ADHD  

  • -have the ability to create positive learning environments 

  • -have high expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour 

  • -have evidence of ability to enthuse and motivate pupils 

  • -have a strong and caring personality and is calm, patient and firm  

  • -have good organisation and communication skills 

  • -will be committed to providing a ‘child-centred nurturing’ ethos, collaborative team-work and flexible working.
