We are looking to appoint a Play Extended School Clubs Leader for 25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, to lead and manage our Breakfast Club and After School Club provision, supporting pupils’ wellbeing, engagement, and enjoyment outside of the core school day. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 7:15am–9:00am and 3:00pm–6:15pm
Fairford Academy Barnehurst is a three-form entry primary school within Illuminate Minds Trust, a small, thriving multi-academy trust of two schools. The school is located on the borders of Barnehurst and Erith with excellent transport links. Pelham Primary School is a two-form entry primary school within Illuminate Minds Trust, located in the centre of Bexleyheath, also with excellent transport links. Partnership working between the schools is essential.
About the role
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, organised, and enthusiastic Play / Extended Schools Clubs Leader to lead and manage the school’s Breakfast Club and After School Club provision.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, organisation, and delivery of high-quality, safe, and inclusive extended provision, ensuring children are supported, engaged, and cared for outside of the core school day.
The role includes responsibility for setting up and closing provision, supervising and supporting staff, maintaining high standards of safeguarding and behaviour, and working closely with school leaders and families to ensure the provision meets the needs of all pupils.

• Creating a supportive and reflective culture that develops staff skills and confidence.
• Developing safe, effective systems and processes that safeguard children and reduce unnecessary workload.
• Ensuring play environments are safe, stimulating, and welcoming for all children.
