About this Role

As a Senior Administrator, you will play a central part in maintaining the efficiency of our school operations. You will lead  and line manager the administration and reception team, oversee customer service across the front office, and support the Operations Manager in delivering high‑quality administrative and marketing services. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, excellent organisation, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, varied environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Operations Manager, supporting administrative, marketing and organisational systems across the school.
  • Lead and line-manage the administration and reception team, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth day‑to‑day operations.
  • Oversee key office functions including correspondence, emails, telephone enquiries, reports, reception duties, and confidential documents.
  • Maintain the Bromcom student database, including student data updates and Census-related corrections.
  • Manage the Year 7 Transition process, including liaison with parents and primary schools, data collection and the coordination of Induction Day.
  • Coordinate in‑year admissions in partnership with the SLT lead.
  • Manage Parents’ Evenings, ensuring efficient communication and organisation.
  • Support and coordinate school events and staff events.
  • Oversee CTF management, ensuring timely handling of student records.
  • Lead on website and social media updates, promoting a positive image of the school and wider Trust.
  • Manage the MCAS and Student Portal launch and ongoing administration.
  • Gather and prepare content for the weekly Headteacher Update.
  • Provide emergency first aid cover when required (training available).
  • Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection requirements at all times.
  • About You

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Has significant experience in a busy administrative environment.
    • Is confident managing people and leading a team.
    • Can remain organised, calm and solution‑focused under pressure.
    • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Understands the importance of confidentiality, professionalism and accuracy.
    • Has strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office (and ideally Bromcom, although training will be given).
    • Is confident using or learning digital and marketing tools, including social media platforms.
    • Is flexible, reliable, and willing to support school events outside typical working hours.
    • Is committed to safeguarding, equality and the welfare of young people.
