About this Role

As a Teacher of Technology, you will:

  • ·         Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. 
  •           Teach a range of design and technology disciplines, such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, or systems and control, depending on your expertise.
  •           Inspire students to think creatively and develop practical solutions to real-world problems.
  •          Support students in using tools, machinery, and digital technologies safely and confidently.
  •          Contribute to the development of a forward-looking and inclusive curriculum that equips students with essential skills for the future.
  •          Play an active role in extracurricular activities, such as design clubs, competitions, or exhibitions, to celebrate and showcase student achievements.

 We are seeking a candidate who:

  • ·         Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and has expertise in teaching Technology.
  •           Demonstrates a passion for innovation and the ability to inspire creativity in students of all abilities.
  •           Has a commitment to promoting practical skills, critical thinking, and teamwork.
  •           Works collaboratively with colleagues and values inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
  •           Is enthusiastic, innovative, and keen to contribute to the wider life of the school.

The successful applicant will be energetic and enthusiastic and enjoy working with 11-16-year-olds. You will enjoy nurturing young people to grow in confidence and flourish personally. You will share our inclusive values of “opportunity, diversity and success for all” and you will have a willingness to develop your own practice in line with our ethos of continuous improvement.
