About this Role

Full time, Monday - Friday

Discover Art at Temple Learning Academy HERE

We are seeking a hardworking, passionate and skilled Art Teacher to join our Creative and Technical Arts Team and contribute to a school community that is inclusive, diverse, caring and creatively ambitious. The successful candidate will support students to thrive within a rich and stimulating curriculum that encourages them to develop their creativity, talents and understanding of the artistic world. At Temple Learning Academy we recognise the vital role the Arts play in personal development and it is our ambition that every student leaves TLA with a Creative or Technical Arts qualification.

In 2026 we introduced a Photography GCSE pilot which has been highly popular. We hope to make this a permanent part of our KS4 offer and are particularly interested in candidates with experience in this specialism.

Our department is vibrant and community‑focused running a termly Art House Competition, a weekly Artist of the Week and a highly active Student Art Council that collaborates on cross‑phase projects. We have strong partnerships with local arts organisations including Halton in Bloom and Burley Banksy, giving students opportunities to create work for public spaces. Our annual KS4 visit to the Hepworth Gallery further enriches cultural understanding.

Our carefully sequenced curriculum celebrates both regional artists and global practitioners, ensuring students from all backgrounds feel represented and inspired. Creativity is visible and valued across the school and our hardworking team is committed to inclusion, enrichment and meaningful community engagement.

This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about high‑quality practice and eager to contribute to a supportive, energetic and community‑driven arts provision.
