We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Sixth Form Administrator to provide an effective and efficient administrative support for the Joint Sixth Form working closely with their counterpart at Windsor Girls’ School and to support the ethos and aims of the WSSF. Excellent administrative skills are required together with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential.  Full training will be given.

Job Description 

Reports to: Heads of Sixth Form

Purpose of the Role

To provide efficient administrative and pastoral support to the Joint Sixth Form. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Sixth Form, supporting students, staff and parents, and contributing to an outstanding sixth form experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Joint Sixth Form working closely with their counterpart at Windsor Girls’ School and to support the ethos and aims of the WSSF.
  • Act as a first point of contact for Sixth Form students, parents and visitors.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Sixth Form supervised study area, including student registration, attendance monitoring and maintaining a positive study environment.
  • Support the administration of the UCAS application process, including tracking applications, liaising with students and staff, and ensuring key deadlines are met.
  • Assist with Sixth Form admissions, enrolment and induction processes.
  • Maintain accurate student records using school information systems.
  • Support the organisation and administration of Sixth Form events, including Open Evenings, Parents' Evenings, induction activities, careers events and results days.
  • Produce routine correspondence, reports and communications for students, parents and staff.
  • Work closely with the Sixth Form leadership team to support student attendance, punctuality and general welfare.
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues across both schools to ensure consistent systems and communication.
  • Assist with the administration and monitoring of student work experience, ensuring records are accurate and deadlines are met.
  • Undertake any other administrative duties appropriate to the role as directed by the Heads of Sixth Form.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Be confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems (or be willing to learn).
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team across two school sites.
  • Be approachable, professional and able to build positive relationships with young people.
  • Be able to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines.
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.
