Inclusion Support Assistant 

Term time only 

32.5 hours a week 8-15 till 3-15 30 min lunch break Monday - Friday 

Grade 3 point 7-11  

Are you passionate about removing barriers to learning and ensuring every child thrives?

We are seeking a proactive and solution-focused Inclusion Support Assistant (Grade 3, Point 7-11) to join our dedicated Inclusion Team and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

This pivotal role involves working closely with pupils, families, and staff to provide essential support across three key areas: Individualised Support, Attendance, and Behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pastoral and SEMH Expertise: Provide one-to-one and small group support, particularly utilizing expertise in pastoral or therapeutic interventions to address learning, behaviour, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

  • Case Management & Safeguarding: Support the maintenance of Safeguarding and SEN records, create pupil profiles/inclusion plans, and undertake training as an Alternate Designated Safeguarding Lead.

  • Attendance & Behaviour: Implement early intervention strategies for attendance concerns and respond immediately to behaviour incidents, utilizing de-escalation techniques and proactive strategies.

  • Family Liaison: Enhance school-parent relationships, offering support, signposting, and positive challenge to families in need.

  • Hold a relevant qualification/degree or equivalent knowledge.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, tact, and sensitivity, especially when handling highly confidential information.

  • Are proactive, creative thinkers capable of managing their own workload and adapting support to meet individual pupil and family needs.
