About this Role

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised individual to join our busy secondary school. The successful candidate will be professional, confidential and an effective communicator, with a strong eye for detail.

While experience in HR is desirable, it is not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate. This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in HR, offering significant scope to expand your skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  •           Provide efficient HR administrative support across day-to-day operations
  •           Maintain accurate HR systems and staff records in line with data protection requirements
  •           Coordinate and support recruitment processes, including interviews, documentation, and onboarding
  •           Carry out safer recruitment checks (e.g. DBS, references)
  •           Prepare contracts, offer letters, and manage onboarding and leaver processes
  •           Submit accurate payroll changes for starters, leavers, and contract updates
  •           Monitor and record staff absence and leave
  •           Respond to HR queries promptly, professionally, and confidentially
