Senior Science Technician
Location: Chase High School
Contract Type: Permanent, 37 hours per
week, term time plus 1 week (39 weeks)
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: Scale 6 (Range 13-20 ) £29,064 – £32,597
We are seeking an organised and proactive, Science Technician. This
key role is central to ensuring that practical Science lessons run smoothly,
safely, and to a high standard.
The role requires strong organisational, planning, and time‑management
skills to coordinate lesson preparation and manage workloads. You will also be
responsible for managing stock, resources, and departmental budgets and maintaining
accurate records. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are
essential, as the role involves close collaboration with teaching staff,
pupils, and senior leaders.
We are looking for someone with well‑developed ICT and administrative
skills, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and the initiative and
flexibility needed to support a busy science department.
Chase High School is a
mixed, mainstream secondary school located in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. It educates more than 1,300 pupils aged 11-18
from over 40 countries.
