About this Role

Supporting every child to feel safe, understood and ready to thrive, in school and beyond.

A role where relationships, care and consistency make a lasting difference. We are looking for a Pastoral Support Worker to help ensure every child at Reydon Primary School feels safe, supported and ready to learn. This is a pivotal role, working at the heart of the school community to remove barriers to learning through targeted wellbeing support, strong partnerships with families and close collaboration with colleagues. The role blends direct work with pupils, safeguarding responsibilities and attendance support, requiring someone who combines empathy with professional confidence, sound judgement and a deep commitment to improving outcomes for children, particularly those facing complex challenges.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted wellbeing support to pupils and families, addressing barriers to learning including mental health, behaviour and attendance
  • Develop and implement action plans and interventions, working closely with staff and external agencies
  • Support safeguarding processes, including acting as deputy DSL and contributing to child protection and early help referrals
  • Monitor and improve pupil attendance through tracking, family engagement and partnership with local services
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues to promote a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment

Why Join Our Trust?

  • Belong to a compassionate and inclusive trust that values you and the role you play.
  • Join an experienced group of people that are fully dedicated to delivering the best for our children.
  • Gain access to our VivUp employee benefit system, Cycle to Work scheme and local government pension scheme.
