Purpose of
the Role
Saltley Academy is seeking to appoint a passionate and skilled Primary Specialist Teacher to join our dedicated team within The NEST Provision. This newly created role is designed to support the transition of targeted students from primary to secondary education, particularly those with significant Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Cognition and Learning (C&L) difficulties.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, stage-appropriate learning experiences for students who are currently unable to fully access mainstream education. Many of these students are working at Key Stage 1 or pre-Key Stage 1 levels and require tailored teaching approaches to build confidence, engagement, and academic foundations.
