As a Phonics and English Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ literacy development across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. You will deliver carefully structured, evidence-based phonics interventions focused on building early reading skills such as blending, segmenting, and decoding. Working closely with class teachers, literacy leads, and SEN teams, you will tailor support to meet individual pupil needs, including those with additional learning barriers.
Your daily work will include preparing resources, running small group and one-to-one sessions, tracking pupil progress, and creating a positive and encouraging learning environment that inspires a love of reading.
