We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join the team at Pakefield Primary, working closely with teachers to create a positive, inclusive classroom where every learner can thrive. This role centres on delivering tailored support for individuals and small groups, including those with additional needs, helping them overcome barriers and engage confidently in both learning and school life. With a strong focus on collaboration, care and high expectations, the post offers the chance to play a meaningful part in raising achievement, supporting wellbeing and contributing to a school community where relationships and progress matter.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups, adapting activities to meet pupils’ needs
  • Assist in delivering planned learning programmes, contributing to assessment and monitoring of progress
  • Promote inclusion and positive behaviour, helping pupils to stay engaged and develop independence
  • Provide pastoral, social and personal support, including meeting additional or medical needs where required
  • Contribute to a safe, well-prepared learning environment and work collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies
