About the role

This position is a permanent role working Full Time Standing Teacher Hours, 52 weeks a year.

• Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the classes ensuring equality of opportunity for all. 
• Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct.
• Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position.
• Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils.
• Act within the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities and in line with the duties outlined in the current School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teacher Standards (2012).
• Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

About our Academy

Fairfield Academy is a warm and welcoming primary school based in Scartho near Grimsby, offering a world-class education for children aged 3-11, with a dedicated nursery and early years provision. At our school, we set extremely high standards for our pupils where learning is a high priority. We expect them to take pride in their behaviour, their attitudes to learning and uniform. Who we are looking for:

• Qualified teacher status
• Experience of teaching a primary classroom of SEND children
• Experience of working with SEND children, particularly children with communication and language needs
• Experience of delivering personal care/hygiene duties
• Knowledge and experience of augmentative communication systems, Makaton, PECS etc. 
• Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching
• Practical understanding of effective teaching and evaluation strategies
• An understanding of good inclusive education
• Committed to promoting the welfare of all children and creating a safe environment in which children can learn; considering, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.
• Show energy, enthusiasm and commitment to pursuing their career within the Trust
• Have a passion for teaching and learning
• Be reflective, open to feedback and driven to be outstanding
