We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant (Grade 2) / TA to support our educational team in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for children. This role involves assisting teachers in delivering educational content and ensuring the well-being of students.
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of each child.
- Provide individual support to students, especially those with special educational needs, ensuring they are engaged and included in all activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and communication.
- Communicate effectively with pupils to promote understanding and learning, using appropriate methods
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, ensuring all materials are organised and accessible.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to monitor student progress and share insights on individual needs.
CRITERIA
GCSE Math's and English or equivalent
Experience working with children/ younger people
A genuine passion for educating and nurturing pupils with a SEMH need
Ability to relate to children and younger people to build positive relationships
Starting salary for a grade 2 Teaching Assistant is £18,596 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust
Springwell Learning Community is the umbrella name for Springwell Special Academy and Springwell Alternative Academy. Springwell Special Academy provides cross-phase education for Barnsley children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties SEMH.
