About this Role

Working Weeks: Term Time plus 2 weeks (38 weeks plus 2 weeks during school closure)

Paid weeks: 45.797 weeks

Working Pattern: Mon - Fri

This is a rewarding role where you will play a key part in improving attendance, engagement and emotional wellbeing for pupils who find attending school challenging due to anxiety or other emotional factors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver targeted interventions for pupils identified with EBSA
Build positive, trusting relationships with vulnerable pupils and their families
Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and external agencies to develop and implement support plans
Support reintegration into school through personalised timetables and strategies
Monitor, record and evaluate pupil progress and engagement
Support class teachers in meeting the needs of pupils with SEMH needs
Provide guidance and support to other staff on EBSA strategies
Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

We are looking for someone who:

Has significant experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a senior or specialist role
Has a strong understanding of EBSA, SEMH needs, and trauma-informed approaches
Is calm, patient, and resilient, with excellent interpersonal skills
Can work independently and as part of a wider team
Is confident liaising with parents, carers and external professionals
Is organised and able to manage and prioritise a varied workload
Has GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 3 TA or above) are desirable
