Hours: 17.50 hours per week, 39 weeks a year. Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 12:45pm (includes lunch cover).

We are
seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and professional Teaching Assistant, who understands the learning and pastoral
needs of primary children. The role would entail supervising and supporting
pupils whilst assisting the class teacher in key stage one with learning in the classroom and leading small group interventions.

We are looking to appoint someone who:
- Is enthusiastic,
approachable and friendly
- will ensure all children
feel safe, happy and able to learn,
- will create a purposeful,
orderly and supportive learning environment
- will support the teacher
in management of pupil behaviour and understands how to tackle challenging
behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school’s
Behaviour Policy.
- is supportive of the ethos
of a Church and Trust school.
- understands our children
and our community and who is able to build supportive and respectful
relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following
the school’s Code of Conduct.
- who is prepared to
undertake appropriate CPD to develop their skills including First Aid training
and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training.
- understands the importance
of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare
- both at home and in school.
