About this Role

To be responsible for the safety of lettings customers and security of the campus during a specific time period, ensuring site is left tidy, secure and alarmed at each shift end.  

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

To ensure the security of the academy and to provide excellent service to all internal and external lettings during a specific period of time. 

Each academy is organised differently and any combination of the duties below will be in accordance   with the specific requirements of the academy. 

Patrol site to ensure campus is safe and secure during the shift, taking remedial action if required

Act as the designated point of contact and key holder for the academy premises during the shift. 

Operate systems such as heating, cooling, lighting and security when required.

Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations and take action where hazards are identified

Meet and sign in lettings in line with Health and Safety procedures 

Record and monitor lettings attendance ensuring they are in line with booking details.

Undertake regular health and safety checks of buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings, (including    compliance with fire safety     regulations) to ensure the continued safety of occupants. 

Patrol site at shift end to ensure ALL external doors and windows are secure and no occupants remain. 

To open up indoor lettings at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.  

Sweep up in the changing rooms and clean around between teams. Ensure corridors, changing rooms and toilets remain clean and tidy     at  all times.

Ensure that all the equipment is safe to use and where weights are required to secure goal posts they are in place and to ensure that all  equipment is being used safely and correctly.  

·      Clean facilities, such as Sportshall floor, as and when required to maintain safety. 

To ensure all floodlights and internal lights are switched off and that all doors and gates within the school are secure. Set alarm security systems at shift end and lock gates on exit.

Monitor site usage, ensuring it’s in line with academy procedures

Who we are looking for

Experience in dealing with regular system inspections such as heating and security; and the organisation of emergency repairs or decisions on planned maintenance 

Stock control of designated equipment and materials 

Educated to GCSE level

Knowledge of policies and procedures for security, alarm systems, health and safety, minor repairs & maintenance

Knowledge and expertise in minor maintenance and repair
