Longwood Primary Academy are seeking to appoint an inspiring and motivated Deputy Headteacher (with SENDCO responsibilities) to join our Senior Leadership Team on a permanent basis. This is a non class -based role although there will be some teaching commitments.
Applicants must have a proven track record of raising standards, an excellent understanding and knowledge of improving outcomes for children, and leadership experience.
The postholder will lead by example, motivate others and develop strong professional relationships with all stakeholders to drive the school forward

We are looking for an inspirational and visible leader to join
our small Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Headteacher/SENDCo in September
2025. Your prominent role in the school will mean you will work closely with
the Headteacher to support colleagues across the school in developing and
implementing effective provisions for vulnerable pupils in line with the SEND
Code of Practice as well as demonstrating outstanding teaching practice,
harnessing the skills and enthusiasm of all staff and pupils and working in
partnership with the Headteacher to drive the school forwards on its journey.
You will have the determination, enthusiasm, and ability to
lead, nurture, and inspire the development of high-quality teaching and
learning and the ability to motivate pupils and staff across the primary phase and be
able to develop strong partnerships working with the school’s community.
Developed skills in strategic thinking, leading to effective planning and progress towards a clear, shared cross-phase vision is essential, as is the need to be creative in response to changing circumstances and new ideas.
