We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Head Teacher to join our ambitious team on a fixed-term Maternity Cover basis.

Featherstone Academy is proud to be a GOOD school (Ofsted, March 2023) with high aspirations for every child. Situated at the heart of our community, we provide high-quality education from Preschool through to Year 6, ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and reflective leader who will play a key role in shaping teaching, learning, and whole-school development. The successful candidate will be passionate about raising standards, supporting staff, and ensuring that every child receives an exceptional educational experience. This role will have a 0.8 teaching responsibility.

You will:

  • ·         Provide strategic leadership that drives high-quality teaching and learning across the school
  • ·         Support staff through coaching, mentoring, and modelling excellent practice
  • ·         Use secure understanding of assessment and data to monitor, track, and accelerate pupil progress
  • ·         Contribute to whole-school improvement planning and evaluation
  • ·         Foster a vibrant, inclusive learning environment where all children flourish
  • ·         Work collaboratively with colleagues to drive forward our vision for excellence
