Job summary
We are
seeking to appoint a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team
at Queen’s Crescent School. The successful candidate will support pupils in
accessing learning across the curriculum, helping to ensure they are fully
engaged in classroom activities and able to make good progress.
Working
closely with the class teacher and wider staff team, you will provide
high-quality support tailored to the needs of individuals and groups of pupils.
This will include helping to deliver planned learning activities, reinforcing
key skills, and supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
You
will play an important role in promoting independence, confidence, and a
positive attitude to learning. The role may also involve supporting pupils with
additional needs, including those with SEND, and assisting with personal care
or other specific requirements where necessary.
The
successful candidate will be patient, enthusiastic, and able to build positive
relationships with children, contributing to a supportive and inclusive
learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
We are looking for a patient, calm, and adaptable individual with excellent communication skills, a positive outlook, and the ability to build supportive relationships while working both collaboratively and on their own initiative

Our School
Queen’s Crescent School is a two-form entry primary school, based in Chippenham with over 400 pupils on roll across 14 classes. In 2014 the school became a single academy trust and subsequently joined Pickwick Academy Trust in 2017 as one of the four founding schools. Queen’s Crescent is a vibrant school and our energetic, caring and positive staff are committed to providing the best primary education for all of our children. Children learn best when they feel happy and safe, so we aim to provide a nurturing environment that allows them to succeed but also feel safe to make mistakes along the way. In such an atmosphere, we believe that every child can achieve their full potential, irrespective of ability or background. Our curriculum is broad and balanced and delivered by means of stimulating learning enquiries that build on prior knowledge and skills, preparing each individual for the next phase of their education and life beyond school. We are currently investing significantly in our IT infrastructure to support the delivery of the curriculum enabling our teachers to teach in new and dynamic ways which in turn results in fantastic outcomes for our children.
