Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA)
Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a permanent, part-time Midday Supervisory Assistant based at Queen’s Crescent School.
Hours:
6.25 hours per week
Working Pattern:
12.00noon – 1.15pm, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (term time only, excluding TD days).
Salary:
B2, £24,413 pro rata, per annum, (actual salary £3456 per annum)
Start date: 5th January 2026
Our School
Queen’s Crescent School is a two-form entry primary school, based in Chippenham with over 400 pupils on roll across 14 classes. In 2014 the school became a single academy trust and subsequently joined Pickwick Academy Trust in 2017 as one of the four founding schools. Queen’s Crescent is a vibrant school and our energetic, caring and positive staff are committed to providing the best primary education for all of our children. Children learn best when they feel happy and safe, so we aim to provide a nurturing environment that allows them to succeed but also feel safe to make mistakes along the way. Our curriculum is broad and

significantly in our IT infrastructure to support the delivery of the
curriculum enabling our teachers to teach in new and dynamic ways which in turn
results in fantastic outcomes for our children.
Role Overview
Queen’s Crescent School has an opportunity to
appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistants who can build up happy and caring
relationships with the children at lunch times and supervise them (full
training will be given).
We are keen to hear from individuals who are patient, calm, organised and adaptable. Being able to work as part of a team is essential, as well as being able to use your own initiative. A positive outlook and a sense of humour is essential.
Duties will include the supervision of pupils, either in the lunch hall or other areas in the school, whilst they are eating lunch or taking part in lunchtime activities. Associated duties will include clearing and cleaning of dining hall and equipment including light manual handling.
