About this Role

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Site Assistant who will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our school premises with a focus on Grounds maintenance. You will work closely with the Premises Manager and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the school site on a day-to-day basis, to ensure our site is clean, fit for purpose, secure and compliant with legislation and industry best practice. The focus of the role is on maintaining our beautiful and extensive outside spaces, including state of the art Tennis Courts, Football and Rugby pitches and the Cricket field.

This is an all year round role, working 32 hours per week.

About the role:

The Core Purpose of the role is to;

  • Provide caretaking services in order to facilitate the effective teaching and learning of students and the full use of the Academy by those staff and students who occupy it. 
  • Provide caretaking services in order to prevent any health risk from occurring in the Academy.
  • Help maintain the fabric of the Academy’s buildings and site.
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance.  
  • Have key holder responsibilities including opening or closing the site and alarm call out response. 
  • Make sure the classrooms and teaching areas are prepared for the students and teachers.
