The Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed Teacher of English to join our successful 11–18 all‑girls school from August 2026. You will deliver high‑quality English teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that challenge all learners and secure strong progress. As part of a collaborative and forward‑thinking faculty, you will contribute to curriculum development, use evidence‑informed pedagogy, and uphold high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement. This is a permanent, full‑time post, suitable for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers alike, with strong support for professional growth.

What We’re Looking For

You will be a qualified English teacher with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people, particularly within a diverse and inclusive school community. You will have strong subject knowledge, high expectations of pupils, and a commitment to equality, safeguarding and student wellbeing. An effective team player, you will be reflective, organised and resilient, with the ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with SEND and EAL. Above all, you will share our values of Excellence, Care and Respect, and be motivated by the opportunity to empower young women to succeed academically and personally.

We are committed to safeguarding, child protection and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Full details about the role and the qualifications, experience, and attributes required can be found in the attached Job Description and Person Specification.

Why Join Us?

“Staff appreciate how leaders and governors are developing ways to protect them from excessive workload.”

“Staff expect high standards of conduct. Pupils are well behaved in lessons and around the school site.”
