The role:

Can you commit to feeding hungry tummies as well as hungry minds? We serve more than just a meal in our kitchens. Wednesfield Academy runs a busy kitchen that caters for pupils, staff and visitors. The kitchen is operational for 39 weeks of the year. The Catering Assistant will be responsible to the Head Chef, who in turn is ultimately responsible to the Headteacher. The Catering Assistant will assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of the school’s central kitchen, meal production and hygiene within the kitchen and bistro area through completion of delegated tasks.  

About you:
We are looking for someone to assist with the preparation, cooking, cleaning and serving of meals to pupils and staff.

Your key skills will include:

  •        Having experience working within a similar busy kitchen environment;
  •        Someone who has a commitment to working strategically as a part of a team and working
    collaboratively with the team;
  •         Possessing excellent organisational and service skills;
