We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Student Engagement Lead to join our team and play a key role in supporting behaviour, safeguarding and inclusion across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional who is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable and complex learners. The successful candidate will lead behaviour and engagement strategies, support students facing barriers to learning, and ensure that safeguarding and student welfare remain at the heart of our school community.

Working closely with school leaders, staff and external agencies, you will lead engagement with vulnerable learners, coordinate alternative provision where needed, and build strong relationships with students and families. You will also line manage a Pastoral Support Assistant and contribute to the development of inclusive practices that enable every student to thrive.

We are looking for someone who is resilient, compassionate and highly organised, with strong experience in pastoral care, behaviour management and safeguarding.  If you are passionate about making a difference and supporting young people to succeed, we would love to hear from you.

Our people are at the heart of our success and in return we can offer:

  • An exciting opportunity to work with an outstanding and supportive team
  • Excellent CPD opportunities
  • Entry into the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Genuine commitment to employee health and wellbeing, including a dedicated Employee Assistance Programme
  • Access to education staff discount schemes
  • The opportunity to support the wider school life such as trips abroad, drama performances, our student and staff choir and after school sporting activities

All applicants must be able to demonstrate an empathy for, and understanding of, the Catholic Christian ethos of the school.

If you have any questions or to arrange a visit to the school, please contact our HR department: hr@bgn.oxon.sch.uk or call us on 01295 264216
