About this Role
Come and join us! At St Cuthbert's Catholic Academy, we are proud of our welcoming and inclusive school community. We are looking for an administrator who shares our commitment to providing an outstanding experience for children, families, visitors and staff, and who will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our busy school office.
This is a varied role at the heart of school life. You will be one of the first people that parents, visitors and pupils meet or speak to, playing an important part in creating a welcoming and professional experience for our school community. Alongside reception and customer service duties, you will support key areas of school administration including attendance and registers, pupil records, school meals administration, communications and the maintenance of our Management Information System (MIS).
The successful candidate will be able to manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with a wide range of people and maintain accurate records with a high level of attention to detail. Experience of working in an administrative environment is essential, and experience within a school setting or using school systems such as Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom would be advantageous.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service.
- Communicates confidently and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Is comfortable working with databases and IT systems.
- Can work independently whilst contributing positively to a team.
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Remains calm, flexible and efficient in a busy school environment.
In return, we can offer:
- A friendly and supportive staff team.
- A welcoming school community.
- Opportunities for training and professional development.
- A varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
- The opportunity to make a real contribution to the smooth running of our school.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged.
