We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils in achieving their academic, social and personal potential within a stable, inclusive and values‑driven school environment. Working closely with teachers, the SEND and Inclusion team, and external professionals, the LSA will play a key role in removing barriers to learning and promoting positive outcomes for all pupils.
The role involves providing targeted 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND, EAL, Pupil Premium and higher‑needs funding across a range of subjects. The LSA will support learning in and out of the classroom, clarify instructions, adapt learning strategies, and deliver interventions that accelerate progress and raise attainment. A strong focus will be placed on promoting independence, resilience, engagement and positive behaviour for learning.

They will help maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment and may supervise classes briefly in emergency situations.
Strong communication and professional relationships with pupils, staff, parents and external agencies are central to the role. The LSA will uphold high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and safeguarding at all times, actively promoting the school’s ethos, values and commitment to pupil welfare.
In addition, the role includes contributing to wider school life, such as supporting educational visits, attending staff meetings and training, assisting with assessments, and responding to reasonable ad‑hoc requests aligned with the responsibilities of the post.
Safeguarding and inclusion are integral components of the post.
