About this Role

Are you passionate about engineering and keen to support young people in developing practical skills?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. You will play a vital role in maintaining our workshops, preparing materials and equipment for lessons, and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for both students and staff.
Our engineering facilities are exceptionally well resourced, featuring a wide range of modern and industry-standard equipment. As part of a supportive team, you will assist teaching staff, provide technical guidance to students, and help maintain high standards of safety and efficiency across the department.
This role would suit someone with experience in an engineering environment, strong practical skills (such as machining and bench work), and a proactive, team-focused attitude. You should be confident using IT systems, well organised, and committed to supporting high-quality education.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and maintaining equipment and materials for practical lessons
Supporting teaching staff and students during workshop activities
Maintaining machinery, tools, and safety equipment
Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies
Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
In return, you will join a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to developing the next generation of engineers, with excellent facilities and a collaborative working environment.
If you are practical, motivated, and ready to make a real impact, we would love to hear from you.
