About this Role

At Staverton, we are proud to offer an environment that allows all staff to develop professionally and personally, throughout their careers. We pride ourselves on creating a school that is friendly, safe, and supportive, with good working conditions, wellbeing, and workload at the forefront of our minds in all decision making.

We work in conjunction with PDET, to offer a comprehensive, two-year ECT plan. What does this mean exactly?

  • Guaranteed ECT time,
  • High quality CPD,
  • Bespoke training at all levels,
  • Curriculum enrichment opportunities,
  • Networking with other ECTs across the Trust.
  • Direct mentorship with experienced colleagues and Headteacher,

…as a minimum, to help you flourish. Alongside 32 other primary schools across the Peterborough Diocese, we drive pupil and staff achievement; by encouraging one another and building each other up.

Whilst support is focused during the initial stages of your career, PDET recognise that continuous professional development is essential to maintain standards and achievements for our pupils and maintain confidence and challenge in our staff. Consequently, continual opportunities are sustained throughout your career with PDET, whereby access to leadership secondments, transfers and training can be provided, alongside the opportunity to work across more than one school, of which we have a great variety, ranging from small village schools to large urban schools.

At Staverton, all members of staff are appreciated and valued for every contribution they can make and all staff member viewpoints are valid and listened to. We pride ourselves on high expectations and outcomes for our children through a curriculum, aimed at nurturing the whole child emotionally, intellectually, physically, academically and spiritually - we want our children to look back with pride and move forward with confidence. The staff team are highly professional and work very hard to build lifelong experiences and memories for all of our children, working collaboratively with stakeholders, including parents, Governors, the Trust and our wider community.

We have 103 children on roll, so we are a small enough to know our pupils really well, yet big enough to be able to participate in some of the large events that really help to build our pupil’s character.

Whether you are embarking on your first steps into teaching, or are an experienced teacher, looking for a new and rewarding challenge, it is vital to find the best match and school environment for you. At Staverton  Primary, we believe we have a wonderful working environment to offer you!

Staverton Primary School is an aspirational school, offering an excellent education to inspire a love of learning. We prepare our children for life beyond our doors, instilling strong Christian values to guide them to live life in all its fullness.

It is important for you to find a school that will support you throughout your teaching career, and we believe we can offer this support at Staverton  Primary.

We are therefore proud to be offering a position for a permanent, full-time Teacher, giving us the opportunity to invest in you, to benefit the children in our care. We would be excited to work with, and mentor, an enthusiastic candidate, who shares our passions, vision, and outlook.

We are looking for:

  • Someone who supports the Christian ethos and inclusive nature of Staverton  Primary and who works to embed these values with children, staff, governors, parents and the wider community.
  • Someone who strives to improve outcomes for all children in their care and works closely with teams in school to provide information, support and interventions to ensure all children are successful.
  • A teacher who makes learning fun, engaging and memorable.
  • Someone who is reflective and continually seeks to improve their practice.
  • A person who has excellent team skills who can inspire colleagues and children alike.
  • A teacher who understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive relationships with parents.
  • An energetic individual who smiles often, challenges positively and drives change for the benefit of all.

We would love to hear from you, if you feel Staverton Primary would be a good match for you!

For an informal discussion about the role please contact the school directly. We would love to show you around, so visits to the school are warmly welcomed and strongly encouraged.
