About this Role

SEND Teaching Assistant

Hanborough Manor CE Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our Trust Communication and Interaction Hub from September 2026.

The EPA Communication and Interaction Hub supports children with significant communication and interaction needs, including speech and language difficulties and autism. Working alongside the Hub Room Leader and Trust SEND Team, you will help deliver provision designed to develop pupils' communication, social interaction and emotional regulation skills, enabling them to access learning successfully within their mainstream school settings

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative Trust-wide provision and make a real difference to the lives of children with SEND.

What the Role Involves

  • Supporting children with communication and interaction needs, including autism and speech and language difficulties.

  • Delivering targeted interventions and supporting bespoke learning programmes.

  • Supporting children during continuous provision, structured activities and social interactions.

  • Helping pupils develop communication, emotional regulation and independence skills.

  • Working closely with the Hub Room Leader, Trust SEND Team and external professionals.

  • Contributing to observations, assessments and pupil progress records.

  • Supporting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive and who shares our commitment to inclusion, high aspirations and ensuring every child is able to achieve their potential.
