Someone who will strive to make the lunchtime experience for our children as positive as possible by building good relationships and responding to playground issues fairly;

·      Someone who understands how to tackle challenging behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school’s Behaviour Policy;

·      An individual who has high expectations of healthy eating and table manners and supports the children to develop good eating habits;

·      A person who understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school’s Code of Conduct;

·      An energetic individual who smiles often, engages with the children and models the values and ethos of our school at all times.

         Barby is a small, friendly, rural school with a welcoming ethos where children are at the heart of all that we do. Our unique, caring and family atmosphere is rooted in Christian Values and our professional relationships with each other, the children and our families. We recognise that education is a partnership between parents, children and school. As a small school we are able to develop a close working relationship both with pupils and parents; all pupils are encouraged to reach their full potential through the support of all members of staff.
