St John’s CE Primary Academy is a one-form entry Church of England school at the heart of the Wednesbury community, known for its nurturing, family-centred ethos and strong pastoral care. The school is currently judged ‘Good’ in all areas (Ofsted, 2023), with a calm, purposeful environment where pupils achieve well and feel supported.
We are seeking an ambitious and values-led Trust Headteacher to provide strategic leadership and clarity of direction for the school at an important stage in its development. This is a key role within the Trust, working closely with central leaders and the Regional Hub Lead to secure sustained improvement, strengthen teaching and learning, and ensure every child thrives both academically and personally.
The successful candidate will build on the school’s strong Christian ethos, where values such as resilience, hope, community and excellence underpin daily life, and continue to develop a broad, engaging curriculum that enables all pupils to succeed.
You will lead and inspire staff, drive high expectations, and work in close partnership with families, the local community and the Trust to ensure St John’s continues to move forward with confidence and purpose.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of a school with a strong foundation and clear moral purpose, making a lasting difference to the lives of its children and community.
Visits to the academy are warmly encouraged to fully appreciate the school’s ethos and community. To arrange a visit, please contact the school office via email at admin@stjohnsacademy.co.uk or by telephone on 0121 556 0269. Visit opportunities are available on Wednesday 6th May at 9.30am or 4.00pm.
