Salary: ALT Grade D £18,520.00 - £18,960.20 Annually Actual
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join the team at Grove Primary, supporting teachers to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment where every child can take part and make progress. Working closely with classroom staff, the role focuses on supporting individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional needs, adapting activities and providing thoughtful feedback that moves learning forward. Alongside this, the post plays a key part in nurturing pupils’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing, helping remove barriers and build confidence. We are looking for someone who is attentive, adaptable and committed to working collaboratively to help every child thrive.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups under the direction of the teacher, adapting activities as needed
- Assist in planning, delivering and evaluating learning activities, supporting pupil progress and inclusion
- Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND, to overcome barriers to learning
- Promote pupils’ wellbeing by supporting social, emotional and personal development, including personal care where required
- Contribute to assessment and record-keeping by monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
