Help children flourish through learning, support and encouragement. We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the team at Sidegate Primary School, a warm and vibrant Ipswich primary school where every child is encouraged to learn, grow and achieve. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced practitioner to work closely with teachers, lead learning with individuals, groups and classes, and provide targeted support that helps pupils overcome barriers and reach their potential. We are seeking someone with strong classroom practice, a commitment to inclusion and the confidence to adapt learning to meet a wide range of needs, while contributing positively to a collaborative school community that puts children at the heart of everything it does.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups and whole classes under the guidance of qualified teachers.
- Support pupils with SEND and additional learning, social, behavioural, medical or physical needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
- Assess, record and report on pupil progress, adapting learning to meet individual needs.
