Join our team at Sidegate Primary School as a Cleaner, helping to maintain a welcoming and safe environment for our children and staff.

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our friendly team. Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students and staff.


Job Title: Cleaner

Location: Sidegate Primary School

Salary: ALT Grade A £9,093.27, Annually (Actual)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours/Weeks: 15 hours per week, 42 weeks per year (38 weeks during term time, 4 weeks holiday clean)

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:15pm-6:15pm  (flexible start times can be discussed at interview)


Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake cleaning duties which may include dusting, emptying bins, picking up litter, sweeping, washing, vacuuming, scrubbing, buffing, polishing, toilet cleaning in areas of the academy
  • Undertake specialised cleaning programmes during the academy closures or other designated periods, as directed
  • Assist in the preparation of rooms and appropriate work areas e.g. meeting rooms, classrooms
