About this Role

Join Our Team as a Deputy Headteacher at Whitehill Primary School
Permanent - Full-time
Salary: £59,167 - £65,286
Required to start: As soon as possible or 1st September, 2025

Whitehill Primary School is looking for an exceptional leader to join its caring team and take on the role of Deputy Headteacher. We are looking for someone who passionately believes in education being a force for good and that through education we can improve the chances of life long success for all.

Whitehill Primary School was established to serve the local Gravesend community in 1926, and expanded in 1931. We are proud of its heritage and dedicated to supporting the local community. We currently have 580 children on roll. We have a thriving Nursery and cater for all primary age groups. The school has hit a pivotal point in its journey with improvements noted in its most recent Ofsted inspection.

We need a leader to support the Headteacher and under her direction ensure that all teaching is inspirational, leads to aspirational thinking and successful futures for all. You can read more about the Head’s vision and intended direction for the school by clicking  HERE

The Deputy Headteacher we seek must be tenacious, solution focused, have an appetite for improvement and drive for success. You will need to be prepared for tackling difficult situations innovatively, and using your leadership ability to model and develop success in others. If you are passionate about teaching, believe that all children deserve the very best of starts, and have the resilience to pursue this goal then we would love to hear from you.
