About this Role

Actual Salary: starting at £33,018 per annum, rising annually to £35037 per annum (Scale 6 inclusive of Outer London Weighting) 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:00am to 4:00pm including a half hour unpaid lunch break) - term-time only (plus INSET days, and four days in the summer holidays on and around GCSE and A Level results day)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to become our Sixth Form Administrator and Future Pathways Coordinator.  This role would be ideally suited to a person with administrative experience in a post-16 educational setting and/or who is looking to enter the teaching profession, or work in education.    

This role will involve providing administrative support to the Sixth Form team, including the UCAS process, the Unifrog platform, as well as supporting the day-to-day running of our Sixth Form, including admissions and enrolment. It will involve coordinating the administration of Year 12 work experience week, as well as the organisation and delivery of an annual in-school careers fair. The role will also include providing specific advice and guidance to students on their post-18 destinations, including apprenticeship applications, the UCAS cycle, university admissions tests and alternative career pathways. 


The successful applicant will:

  • act as a role model and mentor for learners, implementing and monitoring strategies to raise aspirations and attainment in students and encourage progression to higher education and beyond;

  • have knowledge of current career options for students at post-18 and a comprehensive understanding of the UCAS application process, as well as the Unifrog platform;

  • provide administrative support to the sixth form team

  • develop good relationships with all students by establishing a positive, professional presence within the Sixth Form and responding appropriately to individual needs;

  • encourage the development of academic skills.


Ruislip High School is an outstanding, oversubscribed, 11-18, mixed comprehensive school with 1325 students on roll and we have a dedicated, thriving sixth form centre.  We obtain excellent results. In the summer of 2025, 59% of students attained a grade 5 or above in English and Maths with 82% attaining at least a grade 4 in both subjects; at A Level, 53% of all grades were A* to B, with the majority of Year 13 students securing places at their first choice of destination.
