About this Role

Rochford Primary & Nursery School is seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Headteacher / SENDCo to join our professional and friendly team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced primary teacher with a strong background in leading Special Educational Needs provision. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with the wider SLT to drive high-quality inclusive practice across the school and ensure excellent outcomes for all pupils.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting staff to develop and implement effective provision for vulnerable pupils, in line with the SEND Code of Practice, and will lead the strategic development of SEND across the school.

About You

The successful candidate will:

· Be an experienced and reflective primary teacher

· Have experience of leading SEND provision in a primary setting

· Hold the National Award for SEN Co-ordination (NASENCo)

· Have strong leadership, organisational and communication skills

· Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with pupils with a wide range of needs, including SEND, LAC, Pupil Premium, EAL and G&T

· Be confident in liaising with parents, carers and a range of external agencies
