About this Role

Old Trafford Community Academy are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity to join our team in the key role of Cover HLTA. This will be an exciting opportunity for a committed and excellent practitioner who has skills that can be utilised across the whole school.  The actual working hours will be discussed & agreed with the successful candidate.

This is a fixed term post until 31st December 2027, subject to continued funding being received

Old Trafford Community Academy is continuing on its improvement journey , with an established, dedicated staff team. The last twelve months has seen great progress and development across all aspects of the school.

This role is being offered as a secondment opportunity across Focus-Trust. Applicants will need the support of their current Headteacher to apply.

The role will include:

  • Delivering learning activities, which are part of local and national learning strategies,
  • Within an agreed system of supervision, plan and prepare creative and challenging teaching and learning objectives
  • Organise and manage an appropriate learning environment and resources
  • Provide cover for classes within the agreed system of supervision
  • Understanding the balance of emotional wellbeing and academic success
  • Supporting agreed classroom practices as part of our ongoing development

Most importantly, your role will allow key leaders time to develop strategies and systems which will enhance our whole school development.

We are looking for someone passionate about teaching & learning, who will contribute to the supportive and inclusive ethos of Old Trafford Community Academy and across our Trust.
