About Our School

At Middleton Primary School, our ethos is rooted in strong relationships and high expectations. We are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, safe and inspired to achieve their very best.

We believe in developing the whole child — academically, socially and emotionally — while fostering a lifelong love of learning. Our community is built on strong partnerships with families, mutual respect and shared responsibility. We promote excellence through ambitious teaching, positive relationships and a culture of continuous improvement.

Our school is a place where children are encouraged to be confident, resilient and compassionate individuals who contribute positively to their community. We are proud of our welcoming atmosphere and the strong sense of belonging that underpins everything we do.

The Role

·         Drive standards and pupil outcomes, especially for vulnerable pupils

·         Lead curriculum development across the school

·         Support and develop colleagues through coaching and professional dialogue

·         Work closely with senior leaders to evaluate impact and inform school improvement priorities

This role requires a leader who combines high expectations with emotional intelligence, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of how children learn.

What We Offer

·         Bespoke professional learning aligned to individual strengths and school priorities

·         Leadership development opportunities within school and through the Kingsbridge Educational Trust

·         Motivated, enthusiastic pupils who value learning

·         A culture that promotes safeguarding, inclusion and high expectations for all

At Middleton Primary School, we are committed to professional growth, leadership development and creating a culture where staff thrive.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

·         Has a proven track record of securing strong pupil progress and outcomes, especially for vulnerable children

·         Demonstrates strong leadership potential or experience within a phase or subject

·         Has excellent curriculum knowledge and understands progression across the primary phase

·         Models reflective, evidence-informed classroom practice

·         Holds high expectations for all pupils academically and personally

·         Builds strong, professional relationships with children, families and colleagues

·         Is adaptable, strategic and committed to continuous professional learning

·         Contributes positively to a collaborative and ambitious team ethos

If you are passionate about making a difference and want to work in a school where ambition, inclusion and excellence are at the heart of everything we do, we would love to hear from you.
