Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and thrive in mainstream education?
Esher High School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join an exciting new Targeted Intervention Programme, funded by Surrey County Council.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape and deliver a new provision that will provide intensive, personalised support for pupils experiencing significant barriers to learning. Working alongside a Specialist Teacher, you will play a key role in identifying barriers to learning, promoting emotional regulation, supporting engagement in lessons and helping pupils successfully access the mainstream curriculum.
You will work flexibly across the school, supporting pupils both within lessons and through targeted interventions, building positive relationships and enabling young people to develop the confidence, independence and skills they need to succeed.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. Experience of supporting pupils with SEND, social, emotional and mental health needs, or delivering targeted interventions would be advantageous, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an innovative programme that will contribute to developing inclusive practice across the school and improving outcomes for some of our most vulnerable learners.
