At Peafield Lane Academy, we are passionate about nurturing a vibrant, ambitious, and caring community where every pupil and every member of staff can shine. Guided by our values and fuelled by PRIDE in all we do, we are thrilled to be seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher, who is excited to join our inspiring and forward‑thinking team.
This is a remarkable opportunity for a dynamic, dedicated and experienced teacher who is eager to influence whole‑school success, lead with purpose and make a powerful, strategic impact on the lives of our children and wider school community.
As a proud member of the Flying High Partnership, we believe in delivering an exceptional education that empowers children to reach their full potential. Our school is a vibrant and supportive environment where our children and staff thrive and every child is at the heart of our decisions.
Flying High Partnership is a thriving multi-academy trust of 38 primary schools across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire. We are driven by a shared vision to be unique, exceptional and sustainable. Founded in 2012, we believe in the power of meaningful collaboration to help schools reach their full potential while supporting others along the way.
As our Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our school, with a particular focus on high standards, assessment, and curriculum leadership, to develop exceptional teaching and learning. You’ll work in close partnership with the Headteacher, acting as a trusted ‘critical friend’ and supporting the wider leadership team to drive school improvement.
The role includes a teaching commitment and leadership time, balanced to support our school's continuous improvement and your own development. This is a key role for someone with a relentless drive to improve outcomes, who is ready to lead across the school and contribute to its long-term vision.
Early application is strongly encouraged, as we reserve the right to close the advert ahead of the closing date.
Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and post holders to share this commitment. We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applicants. Applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, and marriage and civil partnerships.
