Portland Spencer Academy is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school situated in Bilborough, Nottingham and we are seeking a skilled and committed Teaching Assistant to work alongside class teachers and colleagues in leading our specialist SEND provision for pupils with communication and interaction needs. This role involves supporting the day-to-day running of the unit, helping to create a structured, nurturing, and engaging environment where pupils can thrive. While the provision is planned by teachers, it is most effective when Teaching Assistants actively contribute ideas, adapt approaches, and respond to individual needs. The successful candidate will have experience of working with SEND pupils, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and communication and interaction difficulties, and will demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and a genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
We are incredibly proud of our aspirational school that believes every child can succeed and ASPIRE in all that they do. If you are looking to work in a school with children who want to achieve greatness, work alongside a team that succeeds together and engage in high quality CPD that shows possibilities are endless… Portland is the place for you.
