Vacancy: Teaching Assistant
Contract: Permanent
Grade: TSPT 4, Point 12-13
Hours: 32.5 hours a week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)
8:30am - 3:30pm with 30-minute unpaid break
School: Elmstead Woods Primary School
Start: 1st September 2026
We are looking for a committed, hard-working, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who can demonstrate good classroom practice to join our experienced team.
The successful
candidate will be confident and willing to work collaboratively, committed and
dedicated to improving children’s learning and have good numeracy and literacy
skills.
Previous experience of
working in a school is essential and a Level 3 or equivalent teaching support
qualification, together with knowledge of SEND would be an advantage. All
members of staff are offered the opportunity and encouraged to undertake
relevant training for their roles.
