About this Role

Job Title: Level 4 Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full time (37 hours), term time only (39 weeks)

Monday – Wednesday 0830-1630, Thursday & Friday 0830-1530 (whole school training on Wednesday evening).  Our Level 4 Teaching Assistants attend teacher meetings on a Tuesday evening when required and will attending training on Thursday evenings usually once a term.

Location: Billing Brook School Academy Trust, NN3 8EZ.

About the Job

We are looking for a Level 4 Teaching Assistant who is caring, patient, and calm. In this job, you will help pupils learn, feel safe, and understand their feelings. You will build warm, trusting relationships with pupils.  As a Level 4 Teaching Assistant, you will assist in supporting the educational and personal development of all students.  You will assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities that are accessible and meet their individual and diverse needs.  You will also work with Middle Leaders to develop the overall phase in their own areas of expertise strengthening the phase’s progress with the priorities outlined in the school development plan.

You will be required to cover and lead class teaching (under supervision) as and when appropriate.  You will direct the work of other adults in supporting learning, where relevant.  At times you will contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities, using allocated time to devise clearly structured inclusive activities that interest and motivate all learners to advance their learning.

Keeping children safe is a very important part of this job.

  • Keep clear records of how pupils are doing
  • Follow all safeguarding rules and report any concerns

 About You

  • Has a Level 4 qualification or similar experience
