About this Role

The team at Glasshoughton Infant Academy are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils aged 3-7, Monday through to Friday.

The role is crucial in supporting lunchtime experiences through encouraging social skills for pupils and providing pastoral care and guidance. 

The role will:

  • Supervise pupils during lunch time periods ensuring a safe environment at all times
  • Support pupils in the dining hall and help with basic skills (e.g. using a knife and fork, opening food packaging)
  • Encourage children to join in social games and develop key social skills
  • Provide pastoral care guidance and support and encourage positive attitudes towards others and promote self-discipline, good behaviour, manners and mutual respect. 
  • Ensure all misbehaviour is reported using the Academy procedure and no misbehaviour goes unchallenged.
  • Report any potential safeguarding issues through to the Designated Senior Leader without delay.
  • Support the Academy in ensuring the safety and welfare of all pupils.
  • Have access to Learning and Development, specifically a Level 2 Health & Hygiene course
