About this Role

Second in Department in English – Communications Faculty

MPS/UPS +TLR 2b (£5,953)

Start date: 1 September 2026

We’re looking to appoint a highly motivated Second in Department for English who can inspire our students and drive them forward to achieve even better results. You will need to have a strong subject knowledge and be able to teach students of all abilities and ages. We are looking to secure someone with drive, energy, and a genuine passion for teaching English.

St Thomas More Catholic Academy is an 11-18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school with 1170 students on roll which has an excellent reputation throughout the area.

We warmly welcome applications from ECTs or experienced teachers looking for a new opportunity and from all denominations.
